Quarantine Day 57

JCF

It's quiet enough that the pitter patter of the dog and the TV are the loudest sounds in the universe. It's strange how many sounds you don't have to hear when everyone is at home. The sounds of shoes scraping the sidewalk, shop doors opening and closing, the clangs of cash registers, tourist chatter, barking, meowing, and cricket chirps. At this point I'd split my unemployment check to hear the sounds of lake Michigan.

My nights go back and forward from sleepless to nothing, but sleep. Maybe writing these entries will get me out of my slump and make me clean the Doritos dust off of the corners of my mouth.
